Class Descriptions

Mommy & Me Classes

Ages 18 months-3 Yrs Old: Mommy and Me class is a fun and upbeat opportunity for young children, along with their parent or caregiver, to engage in a variety of music and movement activities together. Participating in the Mommy and Me class provides a chance for special bonding time between your child and their caregiver but also helps to improve mobility, coordination, and provides socialization opportunity at an early age.

Music & Movement Classes

Ages 2-3, 3-5, & 4-6: No previous training. Emphasis is on creative movement and having fun! Students will perform at least three routines in our winter and spring recitals, as well as events around the area. The Music & Movement classes foster a of love of dance and introduce the basics of ballet, jazz, and tap technique.


Combination Classes

Grades K-1st, 1st-3rd & 3rd-5th: No previous training. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz technique. Students will perform at least three routines in our winter and spring recitals, as well as events around the area. The Combination classes are for students who want to learn the fundamentals of dance, perform on local stages, and just have fun!

Ballet 1

Grades 3rd-Up: No previous training. Emphasis is on learning and executing the fundamentals of ballet. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recitals, as well as events around the area. Ballet I is for students who are wanting to place a focus on their ballet technique and/or participate on our competition team.  

Ballet II

Grades 6th-Up: Must have completed ballet I and/or been assessed into the ballet II class. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recital, as well as, events around the area. Ballet II is for students who would like to further their ballet training and/or participate on our competition team.

Ballet III & IV

Grades 6th-Up: Must have completed ballet I & 2 and/or been assessed into the ballet III class. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recital, as well as, events around the area. Ballet III & IV is for students who have mastered the basics of ballet, want to participate on our competition team, and/or want to be on pointe. Two advanced ballet classes are recommended a week at this level. 

​Pre-Pointe

Ages 13 & up: Must have completed or are currently enrolled in Ballet III & IV. Students in this class will not perform in either recital or at local events. Pre-pointe is strictly for students who are currently or are wanting to be on pointe soon. Two advanced ballet classes are recommended a week at this level. 

Pointe

Ages 13 & up: Must have completed or are currently completing ballet IV & pre-pointe. They must also be assessed by the ballet instructor and have a recent physical from a doctor stating that their plates in their feet are done growing. Students may perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recital, as well as, events around the area. Pointe is for students who are serious about executing the fundamentals of ballet and who are seeking a new opportunity. 

Jazz I

Grades 3rd-Up: No previous training. Emphasis is on learning and executing the fundamentals of jazz. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recitals, as well as events around the area. Jazz I is for students who are wanting to place a focus on their jazz technique and/or participate on our competition team. If choosing to take this class, we recommend also being enrolled in ballet 1 at the same time or prior to taking jazz I. 

Jazz II & III

Grades 6th-Up: Must have completed jazz I and/or been assessed into the jazz II & III class. Must also currently be enrolled in a ballet class. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recital, as well as events around the area. Jazz II & III is for students who have mastered the fundamentals of jazz and would like to further their jazz training and/or participate on our competition team. 

Lyrical/Contemporary I

Grades 3rd-Up: No previous training. Emphasis is on learning and executing the fundamentals of lyrical/contemporary. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recitals, as well as events around the area. Lyrical/contemporary I is for students who are wanting to place a focus on their lyrical/contemporary technique and/or participate on our competition team. If choosing to take this class, we recommend also being enrolled in ballet I at the same time or prior to taking lyrical/contemporary. 

Lyrical/Contemporary II & III

Grades 6th-Up: Must have completed lyrical/contemporary I and/or been assessed into the class. Must also currently be enrolled in a ballet class. Students will perform at least one routine in our winter and spring recital, as well as events around the area. Lyrical/Contemporary II & III is for students who have mastered the fundamentals of Lyrical/Contemporary and would like to further their training and/or participate on our competition team. 

Drop In Classes

Open To All: No previous training. Emphasis is on learning and executing elements of a specific style, while also learning a dance combination by the end of class. A drop in class can be any style of dance, and is open to the community of all levels and abilities. Styles can include Hip Hop, Jazz, Pilates, Yoga, Ballroom, etc.

Pre-Tumbling 

Ages 2-6: No previous training. Emphasis is on basic motor skills, stretching, coordination, and having fun! Students will learn balancing skills and practice rolling, swinging, and climbing. Pre-tumbling classes foster an early love for gymnastics.

​Gymnastics Level I

Ages 6 & Up: Assessment completed by our gymnastic instructors prior to entering this class. Emphasis is on stretching, strengthening, and balancing. Students will learn and improve upon skills such as cartwheels, handstands, and other fundamentals of gymnastics. 

Gymnastics Level II

Ages 7 & Up: Previous completion of level I and/or an assessment completed by our gymnastic instructors prior to entering this class. Emphasis is on continuous improvement of stretching, strengthening, and balancing. Gymnasts will also be learning walkovers, handstand rolls, back handsprings, and more. 

  • All Gymnastic Classes

    • Fall Turkey Tumbler Meet: Gymnasts will have the opportunity to perform a routine of practiced skills in our studio for family and friends. There is a $15 meet fee. 

    • Spring Fling Meet: Gymnasts will have the opportunity to perform a routine of practiced skills in our studio for family and friends. There is a $15 meet fee.

Tumbling & Acro Level 3 & 4

Grades 3rd & Up: Must be assessed by our gymnastic instructors and/or on the Competition Team. Emphasis on intermediate and advanced tumbling and acro skills such as aerials, front aerials, back handsprings, front handsprings, valdez, inversion variations, etc.

  • Special Events

    • Dancers and gymnasts may also have additional opportunities to showcase their skills at local events around our community. These are usually optional performance events but highly encouraged to gain experience with performing in front of a crowd.
