Registration Fee

The first month’s tuition is required with the registration form to reserve class space. Registration will not be considered complete and class space is not reserved until this fee has been paid.

If you have registered online and have made your selection for classes, payment is due the first week of class (unless paying by auto withdrawal). If you registered prior without being able to identify a class day you will be contacted verifying class day and time.


Class Fees

*Class fees are due the first week of class each month. Auto withdrawal will be filled out in person, please bring a voided check to be filed with your forms.

*A $10 late fee will be applied to accounts not paid by the 10th of the month.

*Tuition may be paid by the following methods: cash, money order, check, or credit card (We accept MasterCard and Visa, including a 3% processing fee) Automatic Withdrawal-ACH (always done in person, never over phone– bring a voided check).

*Checks should be made payable to School of Performing Arts or SPA and include your child’s full name and day of class in the memo (ie. Allie Lefler M-6:00pm).

There is a $35 returned check fee, per check, on all returned checks.

*Tuition remains the same regardless of absences and whether it is a long, five-week month or a short, three-week month. Tuition is per month – not per class!

The monthly fee for one class a week is $50.00 – or $45 ACH. Fees are reduced for additional classes per week or for more than one child per family based on the fee scale below.

(Pls note levels 3 & 4 will focus on handsprings (front & back), front tuck and aerials). Gymnast prerequisite are: backbend kick overs (front/back walk overs on floor) front lumber stand, round offs rebound, cartwheel and dive rolls to name a few).

When dropping or adding a class at any time during the year, a drop-add form must be completed. These can be picked up in SPA office. Not showing up for classes, does not constitute a withdrawal from class. Accounts will continue to be charged for tuition until the drop-add form has been completed.


SPA does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs it is understood that the student’s own policy is your only source of reimbursement.


The studio will be closed if Lebanon Schools (only) are canceled due to bad weather. If Lebanon Schools are in session and dismissed classes early because of bad weather – we will not have class at the studio. If school is in session, but there is a Winter Storm Warning please check the website for cancellations. If Lebanon Schools are in session for the whole day, or there is no Winter Storm Warning, then we will be at the studio. If classes are canceled, we will attempt to air on area radio stations and on the studio’s answering machine. Safety is our #1 priority… Please assess your individual situation and do what is best for you and your dancer! We will understand.


Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Students should be prompt and prepared for class.



Creative Movement
The creative movement class for 2-5 year-olds designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality, and nurture the creative spirit; classes encourage imagination, self-expression and group interaction while introducing basic ballet and tap movement and music concepts.

Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies. Students will master fundamental skills at each level.  Tap is a high energy form of movement offering fun and fitness for all ages. Tap shoes with a thick metal on the bottom are used to make unique sounds. Tap dancing is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap requires a great deal of coordination and can be a challenging style of dance. Students learn tap terminology and apply rhythm and timing into a tap routine. All levels will emphasize clarity of rhythm and sound and the development of style through the use of the whole body. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats.

Hip- Hop
Hip-hop is a dance style, usually danced to hip-hop music, that evolved from the hip-hop culture. Hip-hop includes various moves such as breaking, popping, locking and krumping, and even house dance. Improvisation and personal interpretation are essential to hip-hop dancingThis class will introduce young students’ to the basic vocabulary and style of hip hop movement. Hip Hop is about personal style and expression. This high energy class can be taught to anyone with a passion to move, so no dance experience is required, but be prepared to sweat!!


This class will introduce young dancers to the steps and grace of basic ballet, Ballet will begin stretching, barre work, across the room and various ballet combinations. Vocabulary will be emphasized. Dancers develop grace and poise. Terminology and proper technical execution are the primary goals for proper ballet training. Ballet is the foundation to all forms of dance and advanced ballet is recommended for all serious dancers.

Jazz is a stylistic, energetic form of dance. Jazz incorporates ballet technique and helps to develop a strong jazz foundation. Jazz classes include a technical warm up and stretch, jumps and turns across the floor and a combination that is Musical Theatre style or a contemporary style.

Combination (Ballet & Tap)
Dancers are introduced to basic fundamentals of ballet, tap and jazz. Classes will consist of stretching, center work, barre work, across the floor and combination routines. Dancers will learn basic vocabulary in each style. Range of difficulty will increase as the dancer grows.

Bring On The Boyz Hip Hop (once a month)
This class is a boys only class that teaches rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography with no suggestive music/movements. This is an upbeat class and great for kids who like to move.

Lyrical/Contemporary (SPA Comp Team)
Lyrical dance is a beautiful blend of ballet and jazz dance where students create a story or express the mood of the music and lyrics. Contemporary is a form of dance that involves modern dance elements and classical ballet elements. *Dancers must take ballet. Strong technical foundation is required.

Musical Theater (Starz)
Children learn the basics of facial expression and body movement as they learn to dance to past and present musicals.

Technique/Jump & Turns (SPA Comp Team)
This class was created for dancers that want to define their technique, turns, jumps and tricks. Dancers work on stretching and strengthening exercises. Turning and jumping progressions are done across the floor.

Our fun, action-filled classes concentrate on strength, flexibility, balance and tumbling techniques. Your child will use professional equipment to work on their acro and tumbling skills including cartwheels, forward rolls, walkovers, handsprings, aerials, and more! Balance beam, and single bar equipment available.



Dance Wear is required for all classes. Students must wear comfortable form-fitting dance attire to display proper body alignment and allow for easy movement. No baggy t-shirts, baggy shorts, blue jeans, no jewelry or other inappropriate attire will be allowed. Hair should always be securely pulled away from the face.

BALLET – Leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes, skirts, wraps, shorts over tights or tutus are allowed but we must always be able to see the knees and ankles. NO DANCE PANTS PLEASE!

TAP – Same as ballet, but black tap shoes

JAZZ – Any type of form-fitting appropriate dance wear such as jazz pants, shorts, leotards, sports bras or form-fitting t-shirt and black/tan jazz shoes.

LYRICAL – Form-fitting, comfortable attire and lyrical shoes.

HIP HOP – Tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.


o No student should be in the studio unless enrolled in that particular class.
o Students should be dressed and prepared for class before it starts.
o No street shoes should be worn in the studios. Please change into dance shoes
before class.
o No food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the dance studios.
o Parents should not leave young students unattended in the waiting area
before or after class.
o Chewing gum is never allowed in the dance studios.

Returned Check Fee
There will be a $35 fee for all returned checks (NSF).

Refund Policy
All registration fees, tuition, costume deposits, balances, etc., are non-refundable.

Class Adjustments
Classes with 5 or less students are subject to cancellation or shortening of the class time to 45 minutes.

Make-up Classes
There are NO refunds or credits when students are absent. Whenever absent, you are entitled to make up a class. If you miss an entire month, payment is still due and the necessary make-up classes will help the student catch up.

School Closures
If SPA Dance studio must close due to poor weather conditions, please call the studio for an updated message or visit our website. There are no refunds for cancelled classes, but you may make it up by taking another class that is the same or equal to the class that you are registered in. See the front desk for recommendations.
